About Our Individual Therapy Based in Nashville, TN

  • Individual therapy is a dedicated space where you and your therapist work together, one-on-one, to explore the patterns that aren't serving you, and build a clearer picture of who you are and how you want to move through the world. Individual therapy can help with everything from anxiety and depression to life transitions, OCD, and recognizing attachment patterns. It’s where you explore the kind of deep, hard stuff you've maybe never said out loud to anyone. At Nashville Integrative Therapy, our approach is integrative — meaning we don't lock you into a single modality. We draw from evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, ERP, RO-DBT, EFT, and attachment theory, tailoring the work to your personality, your temperament, and what's actually going on with you.

  • If you're feeling stuck — in a pattern, a relationship, a version of yourself you're ready to outgrow — individual therapy is probably worth exploring. We are an inclusive, judgement-free zone. Our clients come from all walks of life and every socio-economic situation. We serve people living with anxiety, depression, life transitions, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, questions about family of origin and attachment, and more. If you’re ready to do the work and open yourself to change, we’re ready to help. You don't have to have it all figured out before you come in. You just have to be curious. We'll figure out the rest together.

  • Honestly, it varies. Some clients come in with a specific concern and feel ready to move on after several months. Others find that therapy becomes a longer-term space for growth and self-understanding — some of our clients have been trusting us for two years and counting. We won't keep you in therapy longer than you need, and we'll always be honest with you about where you are in the process. We offer 50- and 75-minute sessions.

  • Our practice is intentionally independent from insurance so that treatment can be guided by your needs rather than insurance company limitations. As a nonprofit, we’re able to offer both standard-fee appointments and a limited number of sliding scale and deep sliding scale openings. This model helps us sustain excellent care while increasing access for people with different financial circumstances. If cost is a concern, feel free to discuss it during your free consultation—we’re happy to explore options with you.

  • We don’t publish our complete fee structure on the website, but we’re happy to discuss options during your free consultation. If you’re serious about beginning therapy, we’ll make every effort to find an arrangement that is both realistic and sustainable.

  • We offer in-person sessions in our offices located at 1231 17th Avenue South, on Music Row, in Nashville, TN. Virtual sessions are also available.

  • It starts with a free 20-minute consultation so we can get to know each other and see whether the practice feels like a good fit for your needs. From there, the first few sessions focus on understanding your story — what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been carrying, and what you hope might change through therapy. There’s no pressure to have all of that figured out right away.
    We believe meaningful therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. Research consistently shows that the quality of that relationship is one of the most important predictors of successful outcomes, so we take the time to build it thoughtfully from the very beginning.
